Claudia Savage Bride - Georgina

SO. MUCH. FUN!

This custom French lace covered corset and heavy silk satin skirt was an evolution over 12 months (or more) of fittings and consultations and the result was perfection.

The design started off with the intent of being a corseted gown covered in French lace and then made it’s way into separate with long glove like sleeves and then became shoulder drapes.
AND THEN!

The final look - the cutting of the skirts train and length, removal of the shoulder drapes to change into a lace bolero with a shortened skirt for dancing! This was a first for Claudia Savage but there is nothing I like more than brides who want something unconventional so I created a cutting template to make sure the skirt became a perfectly (unhemmed) shorter version of itself for the evening! This was also an occasion where, in the interest of a stress free and perfect result - Georgina had me come to the venue and lace her into her corset. While I always offer lessons and the opportunity to take videos of the lacing process, having large groups and so many things going on can be overwhelming and it immediately removes one huge area of stress when the person who made your corset puts you in to it too! You can avoid so many little issues and imperfections and time management is suddenly a breeze by doing this and personally, it’s always really awesome to see it all come together in person!
